Why do I watch this garbage???

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

Decided to try out Celebrity Apprentice again! (WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?) I’m really disappointed with the female cast. They just don’t seem very strong, and are lesser know. Anyway, got through the FIRST episode (a week late) and wasn’t surprised to see what a doofus the Rod B. is. In fact, most the episode he spent saying how he was going to right the wrongs, and how he was innocent, and joked about phone taps (as did most his teammates), and was kinda campaigning. Dude, you’re not in Illinois…they don’t care. And then, when the Don calls him out for not doing his job, he suddenly doesn’t recall that situation, and tries to scoot around the issue. Like we didn’t see this from him before. Good riddance Illinois. He won’t last long on the show either; just doesn’t fit in or have the same work ethics. Definitely more of a personal agenda for him. And the girls are doomed. Cyndi should have gone home. Heck, she didn’t even understand that someone would be fired. What did you think you signed up for??? Earth to Cindy. Instead, they fire their creative. And go figure…next week’s task is…CREATIVE! Ironic. I figured Sharon would be more vocal. I hope more is to come from her. She’s a pitbull…watchout! Will I watch the rest of the season? Kinda have to now, right? I just appreciate the Don making the personal donation to the loser’s charity. That’s a first. He gets points for that!

Finally, an update…

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

So I finally have found time to get an update on here.  Can’t believe how long it’s been.  Time flies, ya know.  Especially after being out for a week on vacation…away from a computer.  Wow, what a stress reliever to be without e-mail for a week.  Try it sometime.

Anyway, I suppose I should update on my thoughts on all these reality shows wrapping up.  Idol winner is Kris, which is 100% A-OK with me.  I just found myself disliking Adam more and more as the competition continued.  Of the top 4, he’s the only one I could really see myself buying the album for.  And I loved the finale…always love the golden idols…and the whole Kara ripping on Bikini girl- funny! Plus I’ve never been privlidged to see KISS live, so that was fun to see their insanity.  (Not a fan of theirs so much as I’d love to witness the experience: pyrotechnics, lifts, a true arena rock show).  In terms of this season, well, I’m very interested to see what changes they make next year.  Will all the judges be back?  Please Simon stay, he’s the only one who can normally make a decent point.  I really like Kara too!  We’ll see in January.

Dancing with the Stars still has me stunned.  Shawn won, are you kidding?  Best dancer this season, NO WAY!  I love Shawn, she’s a great Olympian, a real inspiration, a nice girl…BUT, not this season’s best dancer.  I like Melissa, and wanted to see Tony win, but hands down, Gilles was the best.  Still stunned!

Celebrity Apprentice…well, I missed the finale, and the episode before it.  And thanks to a full DVR during vacation (as almost every finale was 2hrs), Apprentice got dumped.  Joan apparently won, which while I didn’t like Annie, she played the hardest.  I mean Joan…come on.  She apprently quit and walked off.  Just the fact she threatened to quit leaves her undeserving of the award.

I’m still getting caught up on all the other shows I watch, including Lost, 24, Heroes, Hells Kitchen, Desperate Housewives…too many if you ask me.  Just picked up John and Kate for the summer, and yet to start on the Bachelorette.  John and Kate my wife always watched, and I don’t see myself getting hooked, just wanted to see the first show back.  I’ll blog about that whole mess later.

Other reality

SO Steve-O is gone on DWTS, and more talent is showing from the rest of the pack (almost the rest).  Still at a loss for who will take the trophy.  I’ll tell you this though…with all the acclaim Lil Kim got this week, I’m befuddled.  It was good…but not THAT good!  2 10’s???  Calm down a minute.  Our rodeo and football men will be the next 2 to go I bet…but who knows.  Anything can happen!

As for Celeb Apprentice…what a strange episode…more like episode and a half.  Was the first task too boring and uneventful that they needed a second one immediately?  Strange.  Hopefully next week will only be an hour then.  And that Poker girl…ANNIE.  While I think the Rivers girls are grossely over-reacting, I think she’s quite the snake.  Look at how long it took her to step up!  Especially for someone who takes over almost every task, just doesn’t want her butt on the line.  In terms of the whole hate Brandy one minute, befriend her the next…the Rivers girls need to get over it.  You have a task to complete, put your differences aside, and move on.  And if Joan thought she would’ve picked better jewels, and already knew what types to look for, why didn’t she take the task, or at least give better guidance to Natalie.  I could see her going if her team loses.

All caught up…

Life has been a bit hectic lately!  An understatement w/a new baby and in-laws in town.  So this blogging thing has fallen at the wayside.  For all you avid readers, I apologize.  So what have I been up to?  Lots of catching up on TV when I can.  Where to start…

American Idol
So this week, they did the birth year songs, always a popular week.  And again, some weak song choices.  And the sympathy vote has run out on Scott.  Don’t get me wrong, the man has talent and I believe would make a great inspirational artist.  But he’s not right for this competition.  As for the others that have left these past couple weeks, I 100% agree.  I really liked Megan, but she got old, and that Marley song was horrible.  About as bad as Scott’s missed high notes (oops).  So next week, they get guidance from Quentin Tarentino (huh?) and Jennifer Hudson and Miley perform.  Wouldn’t Jennifer be a better mentor?  Anyway, my thought is Anup will go.  If it’s anyone else at this point, they will be saved unless they totally blow it.  (The following week is their last chance to use the save.)  And I still feel Allison, Kris, Matt, Adam, and Danny will be top 5, but Danny is a fading star, as is Lil, while Matt and Kris’s stars are rising.  It seems though, Matt could easily slip out of the spotlight.  If Danny doesn’t turn it up a bit, final 3 will be Allison, Adam, and Kris I bet.  I’m scared of an Adam record, even though he’s an incredible talent.  Allison, Kris, or Matt would but out fantastic album I’m sure.

Celebrity Apprentice
The only reason I really care is Clint Black, and he’s got a huge target on his back now.  Jesse James and the Rivers girls can’t stand him.  I think he’s holding true to his word…be the master or the servant.  If you’re the boss, they need to simply follow.  If you’re not the boss, you need to simply serve.  Should he have been fired this week…100% YES!  His video was all him, and it was horrid.  But for some reason, the Donald went with firing the most boring players.  (Can we say RATINGS!)  Fav to win at this point is Jesse James.  He reminds me of Trace.  The quiet, smart, honest player.  Will I keep watching ifClint goes? Yes, cause it’s a reality show, and I’m hooked!

Oh, and what’s with Dennis Rodman or Andrew Dice Clay on the show this year?  Didn’t the Don know they’d be worthless?  At least Gene Simmons was controversial AND willing to work and add good ideas.  And Tom Green…seriously…he’s really that odd?  Why wasn’t there more research on the whole Tom and Dennis and that Russian girl partying?  They just let it go.  Very odd! All I know, with this year’s C listers, I hope they don’t go for a third season.  The thought scares me.

Dancing With The Stars
So far, no huge stunners, with the exception of Ty’s improvement.  Didn’t want to see David Alan go (and neither did he, if you’ve read about his expletive tirade after the show…YIKES!).  Steve O needs to go.  Also still not a fan of Lil Kim, but either she CAN dance, Derek is a great coreagrapher, or both.  And Shaun is so fun to root for, but I just don’t think she can rise to the top.  I’d love to see Tony and Melissa win (he deserves a win), but can anyone beat Cheryl and Jilles?  I just don’t want to see her win AGAIN!  And I hold strong to my belief Chuck will propose to Julianne as they get sent home.  Nice tease this week Chuck!

So that’s that.  I’ll try to stay updated from now on.  Key word…TRY!  Gotta go, baby is calling again :)
